    Hey everyone,
Thought some people on here might be interested in this. Two guys (one from Co Wexford) are cycling from the most northerly point of Alaska to the most southerly point of Argentina, and they’ve given themselves 350 days to do it. They’re eager to reach out and get people involved, so thought I’d spread the word here seeing as so much of the journey focuses on the environment.

The project is called 350 South and we’re hoping to make a documentary of their adventure. Their main focus is to see the most amazing places in the world while reducing their carbon footprint. Ian and Lee’s decision to use their bikes is based on highlighting the importance of environmentally friendly transport and they are passionate about the environment – another reason they chose 350 days is because of the 350.org movement. The two men are cycling through British Columbia now on their way to Jasper National Park before heading down to Vancouver. In Jasper they'll see the Athabasca Glacier which is receding every year.

Anyway, they will be interviewed on Newstalk 106-108 this Friday at 11am on the Tom Dunne Show. They want to get the people at home involved with their trip and even maybe arrange to meet some Irish diaspora abroad, which is another aim of the trip. So I thought some people from here might be interested and want to get involved!

You can get in touch with them and get involved by visiting their website www.350south.org. To follow Ian and Lee´s adventure, visit: http://www.facebook.com/350South or follow them on twitter @350South.

    Cheers lads!
