Birmingham Airport - time needed to get to rail station?

Flying into Birmingham in a few weeks and then getting a train to London Euston as soon as possible after landing.

In order to get the best price on the trains we need to book as early as possible, we want to leave enough time to make the train we book but not so much that we're hanging around for ages.

Obviously every case is different but, in general, how long does it take from the plane landing (or timetabled arrival) to get to the platforms in the Rail Station?

Our flight is due to land in Birmingham at 1330.

you don't need to pass through passport control so it's pretty much how quick can you run and do you have bags to collect. you have to get a shuttle train from the terminal to the station which only takes a few mins and is pretty regular. allow time to collect your tickets. all in 20 mins is loads if nothing goes wrong. if even if something does, ryanair pad their timetables so you'll have an extra few mins. you may be better off booking two tickets in advance, i did this before from Birmingham - worked out less than a fiver each (with a railcard), one for soon after landing and one for a bit later because if you end up having to buy a new ticket at the station you could be looking at big money.

nice one thanks, that's a good idea about buying a spare, it's only a tenner at the minute for one we could catch.

It's all well sign posted within the airport, so there shouldn't be any real delay.
