Having amassed 1,500 plus friends I decided to switch to a business profile last month. Daily we used to receive approx 5 friend requests. As a business page in the last month Id say we ve barely had 10 new likes. Any solutions or help here ?
I ran a competition which attracted very few entries , only a few new likes also now we have a winner but have no way of contacting him as we are unable to post on pages anymore ??
All in all I can see absolutely no pluses to switching profiles from a personal to a business page.

You made the right and only choice to switch - otherwise your page could have been deleted with all your friends.

You were probably getting a few adds per day because your "profile" was showing up as suggested friends. Now it isn't.

Any Like you know get is somebody who has an affinity for your company so will be more valuable. Have you included FB on all your marketing? Right down to signature in your e-mail? Have you looked at FB integration onto your web site. You should also look at your content plan on FB - what are you posting? How are you engaging with your customers?

It is also in breach of FB terms of service to run competitions on your wall or any competitions that require you to Like, comment or post content on a page as a condition of entry. You also can't contact winners by posting on their wall or contacting them through Facebook. You will need to get an application to run a competition. Plenty of free or paid ones out there.

It depends on what sort of business you are - 1500 might not be a bad number!
