Internal cooling in Arcade Machines

    So I'm finishing up my Hyperspin pc and getting it ready to go in my candy cab and was wondering what everyone else is using to keep things cool inside their cabs(that have PC's installed in them)?

    The system I've built is just a motherboard/parts on an MDF slab and does not use a case of any kind, as it should be.

    Now I have a few 120mm and 230mm silent fans but I'm not entirely sure where/how to mount the things. I'm using a Noctua NH-D14 cooler on the proc so that side of things is sorted. I also have a "Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro C1" heatsink I can use if the other one doesn't work out.

    So, what way does everyone else have their cooling set up?

    Edit:
    How safe is it to just use cable ties to hold parts(hard drive/PSU/fans etc) together in the cab?

    I think most arcade cab pc's are happy enough mounted on a plynth, & running off their existing cpu fans & gpu fans. Really depends on the size of the cab too, tighter spaces mean less ventilation etc etc.

    Your 5Ghz beast though...thats different. Fill your cab with water?? :p

    Ah the cpu I'm using is not so bad as it runs pretty cool as do most of the very latest i5's and i7's even when the clock is upped a bit. They are great little procs those and the price is hard to argue with.

    I'll probably position one of the 230mm fans on the 2 hard drives(1 SSD and 1 normal) to keep them healthy and use the other fan to extract the heat out the top.
    I'll know much room i really have when it comes to doing the install and decide then.

    I've installed two extra silent fans to make sure everthing stays nice and cool. My cab also has small vents on the back so this would help a lot too I'd imagine.

    Get a software tool for messuring temps and leave it on for an hour or two I guess

    Yeah, I'll be doing that alright.

    I have been checking the temp of the cab without the pc in there using a good laser thermometer(that normally get used when doing a bit of ghostie hunting). The back of the monitor gets to about 55c after many hours on and the step down thing gets to about 44c. Everything else stays nice and cool.

    So i might direct some of the fans at the monitor and step down to keep those a bit cooler as well.

    The Ghostie hunting is generally done in castles and such places.

    No "activity" in my house so far :D

    My wooden machine just has the CPU fan, but there is loads of space in there

    And what kind of temps do the cpu and hdd be running at?

    I'll check it out shortly, just turned it on there, will leave it an hour to get an accurate result(using speedfan).
    I'm running hyperspin(with all transitions/etc on)
    PC Spec:
    E7200 dual core @ 2.53Ghz
    2GB of ram(stupid motherboard wont support anymore)
    500GB IDE HDD.

    Cabinet now on 40minutes and just played
    10minutes of ghouls n ghosts
    10minutes of Tekken2
    5minutes of metal slug x

    Tested using speedfan 4.44
    temp1=31(not sure where these are measured from)
    temp2=28(not sure where these are measured from)
    hdd=34
    core0=35
    core1=11

    Think I'll need to run it for an hour of solid gaming as I'd have thought the cpu heat would be much higher
