    Lads,

Starting up a soc. , very close, long time friend in 30s.

The soc will run for at least twenty years.

Trophy needs to last - name of winner will be put on it , not cheap and will change hands.

Like the idea of having a drink (Like D Clarke) out of it.

Any ideas, places to get one, Dublin, but would travel.

Any experience, what material will last

What looks good, what do you need to spend,.

    Thanks.

Probably a bit late, but check out www.mmi.ie. They're based out in Bluebell but you can also order online. They have a great range of budget and premium trophies & cups. They also offer a full engraving service and have a quick turn around

Ill second that. Pretty sure there is a brochure on their website that shows all the cups/trophies they stock. Have a look at the swatkins endurance cups - they are built to last and will not dent or bend easily. Thats what the golf society in work have and the cup is in great nick. Ours was about 200 quid or so and is pretty big.

Yeah - went into the C&B in Fairview today myself.

After going in, I felt that getting something done there carries a bit more weight and interest when you can say that the engraver has engraved 2 of the 3 existing Sam McGuire cups.
