Cleaning/sterilising suggestions PLEASE!

    Hi everyone,

    I have read some other threads linked to my question etc. but they dont fully answer or give specific suggestions so I'd really appreciate tips and suggestions here please...

    I've just moved in to a house (renting). It was used as a holiday rental home for years and the same furniture is still here and bed also.

    I must begin unpacking tomorrow and sterilise the place before I feel comfortable in it and I got a loan of a steamer. I read that they shrink fabrics though (sofa's and mattresses) which is the last thing I need for a rental home so to to "disinfect" them (after so many people using them) I need suggestions and tips...pleeease?! :(

    I am very eager to begin cleaning so any tips and advice is appreciated.
