    Hey Deisler,
Did you eventually find a club or others to play with ?. I am a thirty year old fella , also a beginner looking to get started.

No replies until now! Have you played anywhere yet?

I didnt get a chance to even get a raquet yet or try it out but hopefully this weekend I will get a bit of practice in somewhere. I heard the Trinity college courts are good, have you tried anywhere yet?.

Theres a pay as you play court in the cabra gaa club. Its 12 euro a pop (so 6 each for an hour, not too bad imo)

I play there twice weekly and its fairly easy get a spot if you ring a day or so in advance ( i probably shouldnt be putting that up online, you'll be taking all my slots!! :) )

    More info here: http://www.naomhfionnbarra.ie/

If someone wants a game sometime, feel free to pm me.

I've been playing for about a year now but wouldnt consider myself very good at it yet so...

Edit: I actually just had a look at their site and couldnt find anything about the squash court, a bit misleading. Anyway, their phone number is there...

    Hi

I am 28 also looking to take up squash again, but have not lifted a racket in over a year having played for about a year prior to that.

I would just be at/slightly above beginner level but would be willing to play anyone as I would imagine I would be pretty rusty!

I would be looking to play one or two evenings a week but would be open to the idea of playing at the weekends (nothing too early mind!)

PM me if anyone fancies a game,

    Cheers

    Maurice

    Hey Lads,

I am living in North County Dublin and would like to take up the sport. Anyone else beginning to play and if so where do you play and would you like to meet up for a game

I live in Dublin city center and I'm also looking into take up the sport. I've never played before, perhaps I should take some squash lessons ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 734 ✭✭✭abceire

Some lessons would be awesome way to start, get shown how to play properly then go off and work on it, I never did so I lots of bad habits. So hard to get out of them bad habits now. But you might want to play a few times though just to get able to hit and rally the ball learn the bounce of the ball so you get most out of your lessons.

    Hi all.

Does anyone have details of squash halls or clubs in or around the swords area ? Beginner looking to play once or twice a week.

You can play in ALSAA the airport place, they've a club and teams. I think you can pay and play too.

Near Swords, ALSAA would be your best bet. They have 4 squash courts. You have to be an ALSAA member to book courts but if you know someone who is a member they can bring you in as a visitor for a fee. ALSAA membership is around €200.

There is an additional fee of €70 for the squash club which gives you priority booking of the better courts at a better rate and access to club nights/coaching/league.

Hey guys. I'm a 24 year old living in south Dublin city. I previously played squash for a year, but I haven't played in two years, so my level would be above beginner but not great. I'm looking to take it up again. I've heard that you can pay for play in the Trinity College Sports Centre in town. If anyone is up for a game there sometime pm me.
