Paolo Di Canio - Never a dull moment

    Just reported on SSN,
Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio was involved in an amazing bust-up with striker Leon Clarke at the full-time whistle when he pulled the player's jersey before the pair had to be separated in the tunnel.
Clarke walked back down the tunnel moments later without entering the Swindon dressing room before leaving the pitch 20 minutes later. DI Canio did not speak to the media afterwards.

It certainly looks, from the footage on SSN as if Di Canio threw a dig or two, impossible to see if he connected though. Great to have him back all the same

    Dodgy vid from twitter

The Swindon Chairman just speaking about it now, looks as if it was Leon Clarke who was more in the wrong. From what he was saying, Clarke started an argument initially with the fitness coach and then Di Canio on the pitch instead of in the dressing room

I find it strange that Di Canio is seen as a loveable rogue by most people in England and Ireland. He's a fascist.

"Sepp Blatter, has suggested that a lifetime ban might be a more appropriate sanction."

    LOL, good aul blatter

sooner he becomes gravely ill the better.

says how corrupt FIFA is for decades when a mogul like this can head the nitwits for so long...

and re elect himself the last time around.

hmmm, going a bit off topic, better lock it..:pac:

I agree with you. People seem to bypass the fact that he's a fascist. Just because a player caught the ball in open play instead of scoring on an open goal when the went down keeper injured, does not excuse the fact that he's an unrepentant, proud fascist.

    Hypocrites. We're all hypocrites.

DiCanio may be a fascist, but a lot of people seem to link it automatically to racism and/or being a Nazi.
    Which he's not.

I've seen him at West Ham once and a nicer guy you couldn't find, had time for everyone, posed with the kids (yes, even the black kids, shock horror!), talked to everyone who wanted to (I was scared to talk to him :( ).

Clarke can look for another club btw.

It's like Italians in general really. Nobody gives them any grief over their part in WWII: they're just seen as those wacky Italians as opposed to the sinister and evil Germans and Japanese.

The player acted like an idiot and looks like he is getting turfed out after 2 weeks because of his attitute.

Di Canio is a legend. Those who castigate him for his so called political beliefs should listen to Marcotti on Newstalk this week who ghost wrote his autobiography. You may learn something about his politcal beliefs and that he is not some raving hate filled lunatic. He comes across as a great person to me.

Swindon just scored against Rotherham and De Canio ends right up in the huddle on the ground! :pac:

Think he might have done himself an injury!
