Just a strange topic for me, went out with someone for 7 months, real mixed bag as to why it broke up, she said she felt i didnt believe in myself enough and she was worried about more than she felt she should..To be honest that sounded like BS to me but i gave her and will continue to give her the benefit of the doubt...

Anyhow hadnt seen her in a while , then met her twice by chance in a few weeks in town, the second time i cuddled her and gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek which later turned into lips , before i went off on my way, it was in the day and out of character for me to do but i just thought i had to chance it,

I waited a while to call her after that 5-6 weeks as I didnt want drama etc, when i did call recently was only 1st time since summer...She said she couldnt meet up as she has to look after herself and put herself first etc, we always got on great when we met, and I know I have to move on etc , its just upset me that she won't even meet for coffee etc during the day....

Or maybe i am just being confused about the whole thing and are looking for more etc, tbh I probably am but I have been doing well and have enjoyed the summer...I havent been waiting around her if that makes sense, advice appreciated....

I'm not sure what you are "giving her the benefit of the doubt" over. She doesn't sound as if she wants to get back with you, and you do. You need to move on. You don't describe the full circumstances of when you kissed her in the street, but some people might interpret that as quite creepy.

It was a consenual case ,nothing creepy about it, I find it really creepy you would even mention it like that to be honest, I know its over I just can't understand why she wouldnt meet up for a coffee, i mean i have met several people in similar circumstances and always met them, life is too short not to do so , thats me anyway, its much easier to get closure that way (for me at least) but yeah time will heal it, just bugged me when she played the "I have to look after myself" card , mellowdramatic or what!!

sounds from here like she wasn't too enamored by the kiss on the cheek that stealthily turned into a kiss on the lips...no a good start to a friendship really if you ask me

She's more than likely moved on.

    You should to.

It's evident you still have feelings for the girl and it's just as evident that she is no longer interested in having a relationship with you. She has made that clear and you have to respect that. You might like to fool yourself that meeting for a coffee is all very innocent but if you're honest with yourself you know it's not don't you? :( You obviously harbour hopes of a reconciliation.

I think she is being very fair and very decent to you by not giving you false hope tbh. You just have to accept that it's over and a friendship with this girl is not possible.
