A neighbour asked me to look his 9880 which is not starting, I had a quick look this evening and as far as I can gather it is a faulty safety switch on the gear box, any body know where this located on them?

I ran a jumper from the key switch to the solenoid and it started so the key switch is ok , but haven't a clue where the safety switch is located.

Dont know how helpful this might be, but I had a recent puzzle with some Deutz wiring, I googled "D6806 wiring diagrams" and got the problem sorted on a german site translated into english.

i know its a few months but if you havent solved it we have landinis 10000s and 8550 which would be the smaller and bigger virsion than the 9880 and the switch is on the clutch peddle under it where it goes up in to the dash it will be a switch that is pushed in by a bar sticking out from the clutch pedle
    hope this helps
