I've used Rossli (RLI) and found him to be easy calved. Produced smashing cattle, not extra big but heavy set well shaped, and good kill out.
They're not all hard calvers, but some are, so I suppose if you're buying a bull it would be prudent to know the bloodlines.

i have used a few over the years lanzac, livrarot,- even have a couple of cows of them (that pelvis is the same as any other muscley ch cow!!!) calves were good some culards were hard enough calved again no different than any other muscled ch bull, fertility is slightly lower in them i think but that is true of all double muscled animals, once he is functionally correct i wouldnt worry about it!!

I dont think they are intentionally the charolais answer to bb as the Charolais societies around Europe wont recodnise it as a breed within Charolais...great cattle though! Lanzac calves are of the best crosses I have ever seen!

Friend of mine used tonga on ten charolais cows last year. All of them calved themselves no prob, We had bigger calves out of our limo bull. The calves are not the most growthy but they are shapey.

Are the Culard charolais legit? I dont know much about them only a neighbor bought one a while back. He was raving on about this fabulous cow but when I saw her she just looked like a charolais X out of an angus cow and she was nothing special either.
So whats the big deal about them???

not quite sure what your neighbour bought....
but culards are simply double muscled charos (not the extremes of BBs) that come with the pros and cons of the trait
they are legit and are purebreds not accepted in
    the herdbook though

I was told he was average calving!

I was told he was average calving!

16.57% Calving difficulty, with 98% reliability or ranking in the top 1% .

    IF you believe the figures!

No point worrying too much about it now. Keep an eye on her. Some cows can calve anything!
    When is due?
