Would you not book your wife into the Rotunda? It's only down the road :D

I was at the AI Final a few years ago and there was an empty seat beside me. I got talking to an elderly gent on the other side of the seat and I commented on the empty seat. He told me that he had the ticket for it but that he and his wife had attended the previous 40 finals and she had recently passed away.

I suggested that his wife wouldn't have minded if he brought someone else along.

He said he had asked people but they all wanted to go to the funeral.;)

Seriously though, best of luck with the iminent arrival. Hopefully if it's a boy, you will be calling him Bernard or Alan rather than Colm or Kieran

Ring RTE and ask them, explain the situation to them and I'm sure they'll understand

Ring RTE and explain. It won't be a problem. I won tickets with them a few years back and asked for my dad to use them. There was no problem at all. Good luck with the new arrival :-)

You're not going to be much use to your wife when you're in the labour ward with her, but your county does need your support.

"We wont' go full term" WTF? Seriously I am sure if you contact RTE and explain your wife's situation as regarding not going full term, I would hope they would make common sense allowances and allow a family member collect the tickets, Good luck with the new born.
