Regional Basketball

    Can anyone give me information on what competition a new club (in Roscommon) would compete in. The basketballireland website is atrocious with regard to information and has been for the past three years.

    As far as I can make out we d have to choose between midlands which includes teams in carlow athlone portlaoise limerick and tullamore.. or else another league which (i think inlcldues dundalk oldcastle ashbourne mullingar and longford......

    Any help appreciated....

    Yeah, Midlands league last season was Tullamore, Athlone, Newport, Kilkenny, Old Leighlin, Ballon and Longford.

    The other region you mentioned is North East league.

    Is there no NorthWest league anymore, when I was back in Sligo we used to play in a league with the likes of Castlerea, Boyle, Killalla etc

    Eh there is a North West league, I'm on the committee. The majority of the teams are based in Donegal though so travelwise the Midlands might be a better option

    Oh and by the way the New Basketball Ireland website went live the other day. A major improvement aswell
