    Hi all,
I bought an iPhone 4 off a girl on donedeal last month. She had the phone on the network 3, so when i received the phone, i bought and popped in a 3 sim card of my own and it worked fine until now.

One evening after a jogging session I noticed that the phone was turned off. After trying to turn on the phone, the apple logo would appear for about 15 sec, and then just turn off again. I tried restoring it in itunes but it would give an error :(

I put in the serial number into the Apple website and found that the phone was bought at the end last February. So I assume that it is still in the year warranty.

So I was wondering, do I bring the phone to the 3 shop to get it repaired/replaced, or do I go through the Apple website? I would have thought that I would have had to go through the Apple website, but they seemed to recommend that I contact one of the irish phone companies?

    Thanks!

Sorry, I dont think i was clear when I said "they seemed to recommend that I contact one of the irish phone companies".
I will attach a screen shot of the phones warranty from the apple website. Its the phrase "We are unable to process your repair online at this time. Please contact Apple Technical Support for more information".

Does this mean that the warranty is gone from the iphone? Or will I have to bring it into the 3 store?

Cheers Zu, I have them a ring there and they are sending out a box to see if it can be repaired under warranty. Turns out there is no need to deal with the phone network. Cheers!

Never ever deal with anyone but apple for repairs!
