    Well?

Best: I did a module on Culture & Violence as an undergrad and a lot of the stuff we studied then I still find useful.

Worst: Can't think of any particularly awful ones, but we did a module about the globalisation of art with a visiting lecturer from Holland which was fairly dull, and at the end of the last class he tried to sell me his book about ancient vases which had been recently published. I declined.

Probably best not to mention any names in this thread...unless it's in a positive manner. Some people might cry otherwise.

    That sounds so interesting!!

Best: I'll probably be here listing all day, I can't pick just one :p Postmodernism (difficult, but awesome!), Politics of Ethnic Conflict (LOOOOOADS of work, but seriously interesting), Northern Irish Society (<3), my sociology thesis tutorial on music (words cannot describe the win of this), and the 1st yr Irish literature module from the old English course (showing my age here :p).

Worst: Sociology of Revolutions -__- Just wasn't my cup of tea. And the first year human geography modules, even if we had a shmokin' hot lecturer for one of them :pac:

Best: Think it would have to be Geographical Information Systems. Really interesting, no exam, and fun to do. Not at all like a lecture.

Worst: Introduction to musicology. Infact everything to do with Musicology ever..

Sigh... Am I the only one who loves all the music modules?

Best: Don't think I can really pick, but I loved Musical Analysis: straight 75s bebé,
but fell down in the exam =( also 3rd year composition, but that's cheating ;)

Worst: Maybe Human Geo in 1st year, the one on Globalisation,
interesting subject, but module was crap.

    Great thread!

Best module: Intermediate macroeconomics II - really interesting, discussed a lot of real world stuff. Had a wonderful lecturer who always took time to discuss things.

Also FN205. Great lecturer who interacted a lot with the class, and a very interesting subject.

Worst module: Got to say Operations and supply chain management. Thought the whole module was kind of messy, jumping from subject to subject never explaining how they are linked. Not a very interesting subject either. Lecturer was pretty boring to be honest, or maybe it was just the subject.

Also EC110, intermediate microeconomics. Hyper-theoretical, hard to remember all the terms and we didn't have enough case studies/real life examples of what we were learning about.

Next year I think the module in Derivatives is going to be the funniest, and probably the one in econometrics the hardest and maybe least interesting. But that remains to be seen. I'll get back to you when I've done them and let you know. And if anyone's taken these modules, please tell me what you thought.
