hi i'm wondering about a firewarn insert stove and installing it
its a 5 k non boiler and i have a kind of curved fire surround similar to this >http://www.fireplaceman.ie/timbersurroundfireplaces.html.....the tulip model ....do i need a new surround ?????
You will need a new surround!!! The stove has to be sealed on all sides to the surround so you would have a big gap at the top. I put one in last year in my own home and mine is a square surround and there was a 1 inch gap at the top. I stuffed it with glass rope and fire cement. Doesn't look pretty but it seals it. I wouldn't do it in a customers house though :D:D

I think I got mine for 590. It's a firewarm too. Dimplex do a nice one but we had issues getting it. Westbury do a nice one too but they are expensive. I'm sure Stanley do one too.
