I have been trying to increase my mileage over past few months and have got up to half marathon distance, however my right knee cap is painful for the following week after so I have not run for the last two weeks and am still experiencing twiges of pain in the knee. I have gone on two long walks to test it out and it still seems weak. Have I to forget about running? Can I continue to run? Has anybody any experience of this problem or do I persevere and ignore the discomfort.
I havn't taken any painkillers or anti inflammatory medication.
