Female Housemate Phenomenons

    Hi-

While this isn't really a real "problem" that could equate to most of the ones on this thread I can't really find a better place to put it.

I want to know if one particular phenomenon I've experienced of female housemates is a common one or if there are any others I should be made aware of.

Some of my former female housemates have decided in the past that it's a brilliant stroke of genius to slap their wet hair, shedded during a shower, to the tiled wall of the shower; and then leave it there for the next customer.... This particular experience has happened regularly enough over my 10 years of shared renting experience and I'd like to know if I'm just experiencing a statistical anomaly or if it's a more common thing! :D

Yeah I've notice female housemates do that. But to be honest I've noticed any male housemates with long hair do it too. In fairness to the female housemates they don't leave skid marks in toilet and their aim seems to be alot more spot on, so all in all I'd rather live with females than males. :P

    Hi there oldbie

This is an advice forum - is this an issue for you at the moment? Do you require advice?

If not, The Ladies Lounge or AH would be more suitable...

I have to admit that I'm one such female housemate who sometimes absentmindedly does this. At the time, my intention is to get it off my hands as quickly as possible and clean it off later. The problem is that I don't always remember to clean it off. Some people do this because it's a good way to gauge exactly how much hair you're losing (because you can actually spread it out and see it). I know it sounds gross and probably is to some extend, but just mention it to her and she might remember to clean it off more often! :)

    I do this too.
The reason is because I have lots of really thick hair and any I lose I put on the tiles to prevent it from clogging up the drains and with the intention of getting rid of it after (Which I usually remember to do :o )

Eww! I've never done this nor come across it during many years of sharing bathrooms.

I bought a little hair trap for a few euro that goes in the drain. It catches any hairs lost and I clean it out after every shower. No need to stick hair on the tiles!
