...will be held in Dublin this year ;)

The event will take place in the Carnegie Court Hotel, North Main Street, Swords, Co. Dublin, on Sunday October 2nd 2011, from 10.30 am to 5 pm

It's an open event, so anyone can bring their own handiwork and put it on the table - for a small fee.
Anyway, here's the link with rules and classes and all the details:

    Hi guys,

Pulling my own old thread to inform modelling public that this year International Plastic Modellers Society Ireland competition, exhibition and all that, will be held in Shannon during the weekend of 15-16 September.

For more detailed info on venue, travel, accommodation, competition classes and so on, please, check event webpage:

    http://www.2012nationals.t15.org/
or on the IPMS Ireland forum under event section: http://www.ipmsireland.com/forum/

This webpage will be updated with more details closer to the event.
It's still a few months away which should give everybody plenty of time to build some cracking kits.

And don't forget, that everybody's welcome

...as per current rules of rotation :p , it should be in Cork next year, but it looks like, at the moment, that 2013 event will be going back to the East of the country...

BTW the Nationals are on this weekend 15th and 16th, Portrush Air show was on 8th and 9th

D2 - the IPMS Ireland Nationals will be held in Dublin, on October 12th / 13th in the Pearse Hotel, Pearse Street, Dublin 2.

Full details can be found here:-

ALL modellers are most welcome, both to come along to see the display and buy stuff from the traders, and also to enter the competition - which has 30 classes and 6 special awards.

    Cheers,

    Philip Jones,
(Secretary, IPMS Ireland and Chairman, Dublin Chapter of IPMS Ireland)

..and for those who can not make it to Big Smoke in October, there will be one day IPMS Ireland Regional Competition called 'Modelling Munster' held in Shannon, in the middle of December of 2013, in the same venue as 2012 Nationals.

    More info here: http://modellingmunster.com/modelling_munster_show.htm

Either way, I am hoping to see you in Dublin and in Shannon as well.

The 2014 Irish Nationals Model Show will be held again in Dublin. Such was the success of the event in October 2013, hosted by the Dublin Chapter of IPMS Ireland, that we are going back to the same venue - that is, the Pearse Hotel, Pearse Street, for the 2014 show.

It will be held on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September 2014, from 10 am both days, once again hosted by the Dublin Chapter

There will be model displays, traders and the Competition. Entry to the event will remain at the 2013 price - that's just €3 for adults, with those under 14 coming in for free!

More details will be posted up once available. In the meantime, keep the date in your diaries!

    Philip
