Not really broadband then. Moved to Midband forum.

The modem/router will likely not matter, as 3G networks can suffer greatly from congestion, making the connection itself the most important thing.

Forgive my ignorance I understand the concept of congestion, fixed bandwidth(many users online). But what do you mean by the connection? The physical connection/ethernet cable connection.See my signal is really poor with 3 in my area and I wish to boost my signal if possible via a router with as many internal/external antennae?

Your connection to the network is what's important. In a poor signal area, there's very little you can do. A new modem may not be the answer.

If there is anywhere in the house that you get a good signal, then keep the modem there and add a router to it. If there's nowhere that you get a good signal, then there's not a lot you can do.
