    Hi,

I have a 2008 Antarctic Explorer Proof Coin Set with the €100 gold coin and the €5 silver coin (only 1000 issued). Does anyone have an idea of the current value for these sets and the best way to go about selling it. Can't find any on ebay!

    Thanks

Hopefully someone here can give you a more accurate answer as I haven't seen one of these sets sell yet on eBay, but the silver coin on it's own seems to go for around 40-45 on eBay.

The gold coin contains a half ounce of gold which at todays spot price of 1260 per ounce makes it worth at least 630 for it's bullion value alone. I have no doubt it would be worth more because it is a collectible coin and more again as part of a two coin set.

Hi i don't know if its any help but my father was offered the very same set in March in Manchester. The guy selling was looking for 1500sterling. My dad didn't buy as coins is not his area of interest.

    Hi
I know Declan in Cathedral Stamps has a twin set for sale. You could ask him.
