Hi Guys, I have a query as regards P4 (Advanced Financial Management), I am exempt from all papers up to professional level, but I am thinking about doing P4 as an elective subject, would you need experience of all earlier subjects to sit P4 and would P4 be one of the most difficult options ? Any feedback much appreciated.

P4 builds on F9 primarily. F9 is a mid-level corporate finance syllabus; some project finance, some risk, some equity analysis. If you did well in the equivalent college course P4 could be a reasonable option.

I did P4 along with P1 & P3 a year ago. I found it quite managable (home study only ) and passed first time. I was also exempt from the F level paper and hadn't studied the subject since 2004 so I really think if you are willing to put in the work you should be ok. (same as them all I suppose...)
