Getting to ITB

    Hi all,

I was just wondering what is the best way to get to Institute of Technology Blanchardstown from Leixlip, as I will be starting college soon, and I am not a regular commuter. I was looking up various websites, and from what I can see the best way is to get a train into Castleknock, and get a bus from there, but I am a bit lost.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

My friend does this. She gets the train from Maynooth to Castleknock and then I know she walks to Blanchardstown village and then gets a bus to college. I dunno if that helps but you could check out on the dublinbus website what buses bring you from the village to near the college.

Train to Castleknock and then 38 or UrBus to the college.

    Bus timetables are here:

38 (allow about 40-45 minutes from Baggot Street to Castleknock) and UrBus.

Both routes pass directly outside Castleknock Station.

Route 38a will also take you from Blanchardstown Village (a towards ITB (except for those departures marked with a "b" which go via the bypass), but like the 38 does not go into the campus.

Finally route 238 operates from the Blanchardstown Centre via Corduff to outside the ITB - a longer walk from Castleknock, but you could also catch a 39 from Clonsilla station to Blanchardstown to connect into it.

Click on the "View Map" icon on the Dublin Bus timetables to see the routings taken and location of bus stops.
