How to find module codes for 2nd Arts?

I'm not sure if this is because I'm a total moron or because this is one of the worst registration systems I have ever heard of (a fair mix I'd say), but I can't find the module codes for IT and Legal Science.

This is as far as I've got on the fantastic NUIG website:
    http://www.it.nuigalway.ie/

    and

    http://www.nuigalway.ie/law/current.html

But I can't seem to find anywhere that lists the module codes and explains which are optional/compulsory etc

Oh just read this on the NUI website
N.B. A change to Subject and Module selection for Semester 1, 2011/12, please note you do not have to select your subject/modules until you return to University, you have until the 30th September to choose your subject/modules. (Put N/A into boxes that you are not using)

edit: I found the modules for Law, they are
    (optionals in italics)
    LW227 Constitutional I
    LW203 Tort I
    LW107 Legal Methods & Research (S1)
LW343 International Protection of Human Rights
    LW354 Media Law
    LW405 Health Law & Policy

The Semester 1 modules for IT appear to be
    CT241 Information Systems I
    CT242 Technological Frameworks I
and either CT240 Programming - Algorithms or CT243 Programming - Data Structures, not sure which is First Semester as they are not numbered I and II like the others.
There doesn't appear to be any optional modules in IT

Yeah for 2nd year legal science you do Tort and Constitutional law in both first and second semesters along with LMAR.

International HUman Rights is brilliant, definetly reccomend it, although I hear that Media and Housing Law are both good as well.

Second semester has European Human Rights and Law of the Sea as options (or at least, it did when I did 2nd year).

How come this silly form we've been told to fill out only has space for 3 modules, when Legal Science appears to have 3 Obligatory Courses as well as a choice of 3 Optionals?

In fact, it says "You are registering for your two modules and your semester one subjects only" yet as 3 module fields.

And why does it ask for the "Student Course" when it is a form exclusively for 2nd Arts?

How do you find the 2nd year Arts timetable?

I'm transferring in to 2nd year International Arts (French + German) in NUIG and have registered etc. but I still have no idea how I find my lecture timetable!!

Timetables are supposedly out on the 1st, although that wouldn't be the first time NUIG have posted false information as fact.

if you haven't already, go onto www.nuigalway.ie/french and www.nuigalway.ie/german, you should find information.

I know that some of the french timetable has been put up (the lecture based classes, not the grammar ones).

Give reghelp@nuigalway.ie an e-mail. They sorted out a problem I had pretty quickly.

Good point! Noticed that as well!

I emailed them the other day and got a reply (they managed to get my name wrong...) just telling me to check the website.

A new version of Blackboard is currently being rolled out. All Blackboard modules have a default setting of 'Unavailable', until the lecturers involved make the module available. Most modules are probably only being populated over the next few days. If modules are still unavailable when teaching kicks off next week, then it might be a good idea to let the lecturer know.

"By default, on Blackboard, all courses are created as unavailable. This gives your lecturer a chance to prepare materials and get the course set up before making it available. So, a number of courses in your list may be listed as (unavailable). This doesn't indicate any problem with your registration - it just means your lecturer hasn't made it available yet." As for not receving your email, I am sure you will get one soon, probably a backlog or something.

Doesn't seem to be any information about Spanish either. We got an email ages ago about the modules, but haven't received any information since. I have no idea where we have to go or what's going on with Spanish next week.

2BA Spanish has an introductory meeting next Monday at 3 in IT204. Website does have last year's date, but it's the same venue and time this year.

OK, how did you find that out?

I figured it out in the end, turns out that there aren't any optional modules in 1st Semester, despite the spreadsheet listing 3 that it claimed were optional.

I have a law lecture which clashes with a 2 hour IT lab on one of the days though.
