    Hi,

I understand the link between the two but I think they are different. one is a running technique, the other one is style.

For the ones who wants more info :

    Chi running : http://www.catherinamckiernan.com
    Barefoot : http://www.barefoot.ie

Chi running work on your posture and the barefoot is more a way to run promoting a more natural feet position working on the feet muscle which then impact on the body. (not sure if I express myself well on this)

I did not use personally the barefoot shoes, but I know some athletes using them and after getting use to them found them good. maybe more guys will tell you more.

    Hey,

I tried my first barefoot run (vibrams) outdoors last night, handy 6k at my usual slow pace on footpath/gravel track. Had been using them on tmill for 10mins once a week and workouts for around 2 months and also wearing them the odd time walking around.

Felt super running in them, hard to describe but legs felt very light and no adverse effects at all. today I had a slighly sore/tender left foot but nothing I am worried about, putting it down to the fact it was the first decent go I had in them. Keen to get out in them again but gonna do it once a week only, and hopefully ramp up to 10k.

Don't really struggle with any leg injuries other than some calf trouble a couple of years back I put down to a bad choice of runner, so I was only trying it out of interest.

Give it a go, but take it slow. That seems to be the key thing. If you struggle with injuries and are looking at them for that reason might be worth getting some pro advise
