Saw these for sale today in the area between Marks and Spencers and Boots in the Jervis centre. Normal retail price is €699 but they are going for €99 and they have a 30 year gurantee. I don't know much about them but they could be a good deal.

Job takes me to various parts of Dublin. Think they hit alot of the shopping centres with the pots. They seem to be scent enough though.

Not in one of the big chains? I wonder is this like the "Armani" and Hilfinger" stuff on sale in stands outside the Iliac centre?
Not having much luck finding info on this brand on google either.

When I googled them I found ads for them on donedeal and gumtree selling them for €400. I can't believe all the info I can find is the ads on gumtree and donedeal.

    Probably because its a scam.

The supposed RRP is a total farce, no one would pay that much for a few steel pots. I doubt even copper pots would cost that much.

I am from Germany and love to cook, but have never heard of this brand. The main names would be Fissler, WMF, Silit and Schulte-Ufer.
Did a quick Google in German and it seems it is a company that has its seat in Solingen (famous for quality steelware and knifes) but imports the pots and pan from China.

If the number and sizes of the pots suit your need it may still be a bargain, but you never know. Regarding the warranty - will the company still be there in 20 or 30 years? If not the warranty is worthless!

When I moved into my first flat 20 years ago I bought a Fissler pot set, which was quite expensive at the time but is still going strong and the pots look like new, even though they are constantly in use.

€700 for a set of quality pots would probably be cheap. Presumably the Jervis pots are cheap tat dressed up as quality produce though.

I got these for £69 on Amazon last year. They were €199 in debenhams for a 4 piece set, so £99 isn't too bad.

I did my research beforehand. Excellent pots - good heavy bases, all non stick (even the pots) and have a wavy pattern on the base which improves their nonstickiness. Once you keep the heat down they will stay non stick. If you have the heat too high and burn something there will be a black coating left on them - this comes off with some baking soda and a plastic scourer. Better to keep the heat low and not burn stuff though!

Just make sure to bin your metal utensils and replace them all with plastic. Oh, and get one of their fish slices - super thin - great for flipping eggs and omlettes.

There is a decent shop in Kildare outlets that sells kitchen equipment.

My advise to anyone is get a decent set. I have a set of Le Creuset pots that I got over five years ago and they are still as good as the day I got them. I see people buy pots for 20 quid in Dunnes and know that they will be back in a year looking for another one as they don't last (and also are prone to burning your food).

I assume that Meyer & Schultz are linked to Meyer? If so they are a very reputable brand.

Assumptions make an ass out of u and me (ass-u-me), considering there is no mention of them in the first couple of pages of google or google images.

I think it is more likely that they are some dodgy brand hoping you make that exact assumption.

Edit: Here is a gumtree add claiming the rrp is a whopping €1,520 for the same 12 piece set.

I could be completely wrong on all of this and it could be top notch stuff, but no search results online only adds in Ireland and not actually being in a shop but instead in the open area.. just spells scam to me.

I first heard the phrase in a Thomas Harris novel. I assume he popularised it. ;)

Actually it was first coined to a mass audience in 1973 in 'The Odd Couple' TV series, so I assume that he robbed it from there :)

Was in Jervis centre again today and I had a good look at the box and packaging. I could not see a website address on it so it looks like a scam to me. I wonder if those guys in donedeal have sold many?.

I know this is an old post but a few years ago I bought 3 set's of 7 pots per set. I paid about 150 Euros per set. I use them every day (yes I'm stuck in the kitchen every day, in fact I have 2 kitchens), I gave one set to my son when he purchased his first home in late 2014, I still had it in the box and had not used it. Believe it or not, yes there are some of us who do pay a lot of money for quality pots and pans - regardless of who made them and what country they came from. Remember folks...you get what you pay for and these are top quality pots and pans. If you see them for sale at a very low price, my advice is to buy them, you wont be sorry! Also its very important to remember - any pots and pans listed as ''non stick'' and regardless of brand or price, they are only ''non stick'' provided you don't put them in the dish washer. But in saying that, I have put some of these pots into the dish washer knowing my golden rule I shouldn't but I said to my self...*aww heck I have another set lol* but thankfully they are still non-stick, but I wouldn't do that with most other brands as I have lost a few other pots and pans to the dishwasher.
For those of you with a household dishwasher - it's ok to put them into that dishwasher.
For those of you who have the industrial dish washer like you'd use in cafe's, hotels etc (the 3 minute dishwasher) do NOT put them in this dish washer as it is way hotter and will destroy any pots and pans!!
