Mini ATX build with hi-res gaming

Hi, I wonder could anyone suggest some components for one of these cases

Silverstone Sugo SST-SG07B

Antec Mini-ITX Case "ISK310-150"

and one of these chips:

Intel Core i7-2600K

The finished machine would need to do 1080i gaming with a never-dropping frame rate,
so i'm guessing it would need a proper video card too?
Something that runs cool and quiet and fits in the case.
(Maybe this rules out the Antec case?)

Other things:
I don't want cooling to be an issue and i won't be overclocking.

Also i've no need for optical drives or 20TB of storage or anything fancy like that, a couple of small SSD's might suit my needs.

Am I wasting my time with a micro ATX machine?

Get the i5 2400 for gaming. i7 is more focused towards video editing and such applications. Games don't really make use of hyper threading.

mATX are great if you like the small size and they're usually cheaper than big ATX boards and enough for most people as most of us don't need 4 pcie lanes and 6 ram slots and such.

QB1o - When you say "mATX", do you really mean "mITX"? Neither of those cases are mATX. And the Antec can't fit any expansion cards, so its useless for gaming. Also, you can't OC an LGA1155 CPU on an mITX mobo, as there aren't any with decent chipsets

af - That case is an mITX gaming case with a Silverstone 600W PSU included,if you were wondering about the price. Its a bit large for an mITX case though, because that's a full-sized PSU in there!

Its still very pricey for 188eur for such a small case.
Also you can build some good mITX gaming rigs too. You can't overclock on what boards that are currently available but you can still build a decent rig. And you wouldn't wanna overclock on an mITX build anyway as there would barely be enough room for cooling in a small mITX case.

Stick a gtx560 on it. i5 2400 processor, 4GB ram and you've got yourself a pretty good tiny gaming rig!!

Ive been thinking about one of these builds now , probably go ahead with it if i go back to college in a couple of weeks. this one looked pretty impressive at the time. the price put me off although id say there a bit cheaper now.

Wouldve though that micro builds would be getting a lot more popular nowadays given how transient people are, probably more of a challenge to build a medium specced mitx than a full sized tower.

I like the lian li cases the most though seem better value than the silverstones too
