Bios Password 'Enter Current Password' on Toshiba Satellite

I'm having a problem with a Toshiba Satellite L300D. After I reinstalled the HDD it would beep. To solve this I went into BIOS to look and see if the board had some sort of intrusion setting. When I exited the BIOS and restarted I know get the Enter Current Password (with a blue background on a black screen) with continuos beeps. The thing is it seems to auto enter in 10 characters (*) and then stop. There are no other options.

I have searched unsuccessfully for any info about this and I cant even find where the CMOS is located which I think is soldered onto the board.

Has anybody had any similar experience like this?
I would really appreciate any help its driving me crazey.

Try taking out the battery out of the motherboard for a while and see will it reset.

On this laptop the CMOS battery will not remove because it is soldered on to the board. What I did was I shorted the plus and the minus by holding a flathead screwdriver over them both. This cleared the Bios but when I boot up its now asking for the Bios password again as It says I have to enter Bios to update settings.

removing the battery is insufficent you'd have to locate the BIOS manual reset jumper on the motherboard. Assuming the laptop board even has one of these.

I dont think there are reset jumpers on Toshiba
