Hey I'm just giving you a rough idea.

My room mate did psychology had to do a few essays throughout the term.

Computer science in general is more practical, you'd make a program instead of write about one, if you get me.

We had arts students in our lab which I assumed were first years and one of their projects was a website with they were doing in March/April so I'm assuming it was an end of year project.

I'd say overall the workload would be matched ( ie learning of new materials) but I'd say psychology would be a great actual workload as you've got 2/3 essays.

Hopefully someone who's done those modules could be more specific though!

I tutored the labs for 1st yr arts Computer Science. The workload is minimal enough. Like Ricky said above, it's mostly practical which can be good as you come in for the 2 hour lab session and get your work done as opposed to having essays to do in your own time.

The kinds of lab assignments given out were basic html to make some webpages and some graphic stuff to make simple drawings. Very much scratch the surface stuff really

You have 3 essays throughout the year in psychology which are worth half of their modules. A fair bit of reading is required to do a good essay but nothing exorbitant. Other than that it's just study for the end of year exams.
