I think we find out in our first lectures if you're in a taught one. I don't know about research ones.

Thanks, think I'm looking for reasons to stress myself out about it. Hopefully get some info in the next few days.

All i've been told is that on Monday we have a course meeting with our coordinator before our first lecture and we'll be given course booklets etc.
I got an email about it a few weeks ago.

Why would you be LOOKING for stress?

Taught Masters is all about a few small assignments, some serious 'bonding' sessions with the classmates over crates of beers and hungover seminars. :)

Stress comes when you realise you've p*ssed away 10 months and you thesis is due in 6 weeks :D Happy Days, Happy Days!
