Transferring sky box to another room.

Hi, this sounds complicated but it isn't really!!:D

Ive moved the sky box from one room to another for preference reasons, and the only problem ive encountered is that it only has one wire now going into the sky box as opposed to two previousely.

    My question is:

Is there a splitter yoke (don't know if it exists so dont know a name;)) and if there is, would this be suitable to plug into the current ariel socket which now has the one sky cable plugged into, and subsequently plug in two cables?

Whats happening now is that we can still record using one cable, but cant watch another channel whilst that is recording.

Please advise if I need to get a guy out to run a new cable, or if there is a gadget available that can help!! Thanks everyone.:o

I said this wasn't complicated but I hope everyone understands my question:P

You can't simply split the existing cable; the whole point of the 2 cables is to allow 2 signals to come from the LNB to the receiver.

Running a cable isn't a big job, particularly as you said that there were previously 2 cables, meaning that the dish has at least a double LNB; just buy satellite-grade cable and 2 connectors and you'll be able to do it no bother.

Sounds easy, yet I have no way of getting up to the roof to the dish....... Or do i not need to?.....
