Can anyone tell me if there's much a difference between the graphics cards in the two options for the 21 inch iMac? Looking at the two there doesn't seem much reason to pay for the €1,449 one.

The €300 price difference pays for the faster processor (2.7 Ghz v. 2.5Ghz) and double the disk size (1TB vs. 500GB).

The graphics card and memory is the same in both models - AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 512MB RAM.

No, they are different. The low end 21-inch has the 6750M, while the next model has the 6770M. I'd imagine there isn't much between them, but I don't know much about graphics cards.

This ! 6750 and 6770 in their M variants are pretty much the same if I remember rightly the only difference being faster clock speeds on the 6770. Not a massive difference though

Thanks. I think I'll go with the base model so.

Apologies, missed that subtle difference, you are correct.

There isn't much of a difference. At the 21" iMacs' native resolution the 6750M would be enough for modest gaming. I've got a 6750M in my MBP and it does okay.

This page gives a comparison of the graphics performance of the iMacs: http://barefeats.com/imac11b.html

i was researching this recently too.|
The advantage with the dearer model [as well as what has been mentioned] is you can put more memory in the dearer one.

if you can afford the high end 21" model, I'd add a bit and get the 27" model instead :D
