Payment?

Hey, I applied for grant and got it accepted. But college asks to pay 580 euro. Does it mean they will receive payment and then check with Dublin city council and if they confirm grant I will get 580 euro back?

All I paid was 80, which is mandatory gym membership, and the grant pays the rest AFAIK. I don't think you've to pay €580. They give you till January to pay the fee's anyway.

well i'm just going by what i've read. i'm in the same situation only i have yet to get my grant acceptance, so i'll probably have to pay the 500!

Is this a part time course or something? I'm sure NCI fees are around €1,500 or €4,000 or something.

My NC003 was 580, as I've applied for a grant but am waiting for a response. Should I not get it, I'll be required to pay the balance of a 2000euro sum for the course year, per year for my Computing.

Ahh sorry I think it's changed since last year. Something like a mandatory payment for all students was something I heard around the time of the student protests.

I'm stil going by last years rules.

yep, as magicirl says, it's a quarter of the registration fees up front, refundable on receipt of the grant/free fee's qualification.

with regard to the OP though, maybe give the college a call since you've already gotten confirmation of your grant application!
