    Howdy All,

The time has come to throw some new rubber on the bike, currently have the Ridley Fortezza which were standard on the bike. Routes are normally a mix of hard shoulder and some rougher side roads, got a puncture last week on one of those side roads, so looking for for something fairly robust, but not compromising on speed too much and with an eye looking ahead into the Autumn and Winter months.
    Suggestions appreciated - Dom

Raams suggestionof GP 4000S for all year round is fine but maybe consider the Continental 4 season version for extra puncture protection. It has some more thread for claimed extra grip in wet weather though I wouldn't push it to find out.

The Schwalbes are more a fair weather tyre in terms of puncture protection and wear rate.

If going for all out puncture protection remember that those tyres may not be as grippy in winter conditions as those mentioned above.

I switched from the fortezza to Ribmo on my ridley. Longer lasting, better grip and 1 puncture compared to I Lost Count on the fortezzas. Got about 1,600km out of the fortezzas.
3,500km on the Ribmos at the moment and they're just fine.

Have about 1500km on mine - no punctures and no signs of wear yet but they are pricey. Something like GP4 season may be better for winter and more gritty roads tho
