BSc (Hons) Government - Question

Currently choosing my elective modules, and I was wondering if I chose to do 'Threshold French' (5 Credits), would I have to do 'French for Reading Purposes I' (5 Credits) too? It is worded like this on the UCC website:

FR1105 Threshold French (5 Credits) plus FR1107 French for Reading Purposes I (5 Credits)

I'd prefer to do Threshold French and Local Development and Public Health, rather than the two French modules but unsure if this is possible? (Each are worth 5 credits).

    Thank you :)

When I was in first year (three years ago!) you had to do them together. With ten credits you'll still only have 2 hours of french lectures a week, so it's not a lot anyway!
