I'm heading down this week and weekend to attend the IronMan. I'll have my 6 month old with us. Bottled water or is the tap water ok?
Just cautious over the number of times we have heard the water quality is poor in Galway.

Galway had a problem with cryptosporidium but that's gone now.
Water can be very hard and not very tasty at places.
If you're worried buy water in bottles from a shop.

The stuff out of the tap doesn't taste nice IMO, it's supposed to be safe though. I do drink bottled though.

im from the north but live in Galway, certainly wouldn't be drinkin the water over here, always buy bottled. They say it's safe but has an awful taste to it.

Best of luck in the ironman
