I'm really going ack with this but I'm hoping there is someone out there who can harness google better than I can. Years ago (probably 70's maybe 80's) Gay Byrne used to read out a short story every september on the first day of school. It was all about the feelings of a mother as her little boy goes off to school for the first time and grows up. It will be horribly dated now (mum at home bakng scones rather than trying to make it back to creche before closing etc) but I would love to listen to it again. It always caught my mum a little emotional and this year I've moved into "mom" territory for the first time. I know I found it on a search before but this morning, google is letting me down. Any ideas? Appologies if this isn't the correct forum to ask.
