Alrighty chaps, it's nearly that time of year again, what I wanna know is who will be broadcasting the race this year? Motors tv usually will have it, any other channels? and websites for streaming it too...

    L&H 500 is first i think.

Dont have Motors but managed to catch a stream in 2009 and watched the whole thing live. Couldnt find one last year so watched it a couple days later through alternative means. Tried not to spoil the race but watching the BTCC the next day Ben Edwards mentioned the result as a Triple8 car won :(

Yup, Phillip Island on the 16-18 September, then Bathurst on the 6-9 October.

And let's not count out the Gold Coast on the 21-23 Oct with the international drivers :D

Motors TV is usually the safe bet.. I'm originally from Bathurst and glad I can find the race on one channel :D

I'm away in Lanzarote for it so will miss my first 1000 since 2004.

That said, I'm going to Texas in 2013 for their debut @ The Circuit of the Americas :D

L&H 500 starting in just a very short period of time, the enduro season begins :D

Lowndes and Skaifey win again! That's three enduros in a row!

Anyone maybe gonna throw a small bet on Bathurst? :D

Also, SPEED from the US will be providing coverage of the 1k and the Gold Coast, that should be interesting. While I do like the Aussie commentators, I really do hate watching 7 because they haven't shown a single race live this year - only tape-delayed and they artificially extend that by not pausing the racing when they go to break.

God be with the days when this was featured on mainstream TV. Used to enjoy watching and listening to those glorious V's !!

What do we have instead ?? CRAP !

Fair play to Motors TV. Their coverage is starting at 8.45pm on the Saturday where they'll be showing:

    8.45pm - 9.45pm: Channel 7 Bathurst Preview Show
    9.45pm - 10.45pm: Qualifying
    10.45pm - 11.30pm: Top Ten Shootout
    11.30pm - 7am: The Great Race itself

    Sky+ box at the ready!

    Related and unrelated:

2012 calendar sees the other enduro go back to Sandown. Abu Dhabi moved to November with a TBA the weekend after it, so here's hope for a Euro race! :D

EDIT: False alarm, it's just the start of the TV coverage. Race not for another three hours D:

Thanks for the reminder, gonna attempt an all-nighter for the F1 tomorrow, we'll see! :pac:

Just clarified, it's just the start of the 7 TV coverage. It's just the warmup session starting in 10 minutes, if that's the case, the race itself isn't for another three hours, not until 12.30 :/

We're racing! 9 laps in so far.

http://www.justin.tv/v8_supercars_paradise and Freddy49 are running the 7 coverage.
All the usual NASCAR streamers are running the SPEED coverage.

It's a pity all that shows is how bad YouTube's live-streaming offering is, compared to the guys on JTV :pac:

I made it through the whole 1000k! Decent enough race, was hoping for the rain though.

Luckily the F1 started right after so that sent me to sleep immediately.

Unfortunately I gave up at around half 4, not too long after the Team Vodafone tried to put one of their cars on an alternate strategy...

Now this was a scary crash:

And the final few laps :D

Just to bump this up a bit, the last race of the V8 Supercar season is on right now.

Have a gander at http://www.justin.tv/v8_supercars_paradise, if you can stay awake :P

I watched it on the V8 site as they showed video under the timing monitors. Shame Lowndesy couldn't make up the points on Whingecup.
