    Hey Chris,

Yup i'll be 'waddling' it but it will be my 3rd time - its a really 'challenging' but senic route.
    The crack afterwards is mighty!

    Best of luck in it.

I'm doing it as well, it will be my first half-marathon. From looking at the map there are a few decent hills and the weather forecast isn't great so I won't be hoping for any great times.

In case anyone plans to follow a pacer in the Half Marathon the following are the pacing Bands

    1hr 30 mins

    1hr 45 mins

    2hr 00 mins

Option also available to follow 4hr 30 mins pacers if you are aiming for to run 2hr 15mins as it is shared course until last couple hundred mtrs of the Half.

Please note Pacers are Banking time following the stategy of running 5 secs quicker for the first 8 mls in the half to keep in reserve for the last few miles.

Best of luck to everyone taking part.

The hills on the half marathon course are ok , its the hill at the circa 20 mile mark is the killer. Good luck, I hope to do the marathon for the second time.

I had an absolute blast. There are quite a few grumbles about the results on the facebook page, but I don't know if there is a real problem or if some people are just unreasonable to complain about results that haven't even been officially released yet.

Personally, I can't wait for next year. This is one of my favourite events, absolute top drawer.

It was my first Dingle event. Have to say weekend didn't start well with B&B giving room away but eventually got started and it just got better and better after that.

Thank God the weather cleared up. Course was pure lovely. The 4:30 pace lads caught me at about mile 10 and fair deuce to them. They kept me going just in return for twenty HEC final tickets. You do lovely work lads.

Great craic down town, and a good win for Munster and all. And big respect to the lad from Galway who pulled hamstring with 3 miles to go in the full but still finished.

Sorry abiut your room - was it hard to get another ? I was in the opposite situation having being a late netry on FRI - I happened to knock on door of house near pobail scoil which still had a ' vacancy ' sign and got a single room - They still had another free room due to cancellation .

The pace ,akers - the ones I saw anyway- seem to all have white balloons which seemed a little odd - where there other colours ?

I didnt expect to see resuults out last night but checked and found mine.

No, the balloons were all white, with the time written on them in permanent marker. I have to agree, it wasn't ideal. Mine had written 3:30 on it and I repeatedly got asked if we were the 2:00 pacers, and once if we were the 1:30 pacers.

The balloons are supplied by the organisers and I suppose they didn't think of using differently coloured balloons.

I called into the Dingle Bay Hotel and they have me a list of B&B's in the area. I got a room in the 16th one I rang. Luckily for me a poor tourist got puncture and cancelled. Hope he got sorted.

They all had white balloons, and the time was written on them. Different coloured ballons may have been better.

Haven't seen results yet. But sure had my fancy gps watch so know my time.

Seems there were real issues with their new chip technology with many times not being recorded so may were disappointed. The site seemed to crash a good few times over the last two days also.

Yup, turns out there really was a serious problem with the timing system. It's a real shame as it's otherwise such a well organised event. It won't stop me from signing up next year, though.
