    Hey Guys,

So normally i'm the kind of person who will take the cheapest mode of transport which in my case is the bus. This was until I messed up my leg and just can't do buses anymore. I've been looking at the train but it's so expensive on fri/sun? Is there anyway to get cheap student tickets during the weekend? Please help..i'm going to be stranded if I can't afford the train! :D

Do you have the student travelcard? (http://studenttravelcard.ie/index.aspx)

If so you can get a student ticket- AFAIK it's a set price all the time. If you select trains on irishrail.ie, under ticket type just click student and it'll give the price

If you DONT have the above card, then DONT book a student ticket, no other form of ID is acceptable.

If you book weeks in advance you can get trains for 10e each way depending on where to/from (adult fare)

Be sure that you have the student travelcard - your ordinary student card or ISIC card are NOT valid for rail tickets.
