vOLVO V40 1.9td sport 2003 service/ maintenance intervals

    Hi,

I've been lurking about here for ages but now I shall post-

What are the service intervals for my 2003 1.9td V40 and what should be done at each interval? Unfortunately I did not get the relevant documentation when I bought the car.

How often should I change the oil, oil filters etc?

Is there a maintenance manual I can buy for the car? I would be interested in doing what I could myself (oil and filter changes etc) as I don’t have a lot of cash at the moment. Would changing filters etc be handy enough for someone with no mechanical experience?

Fairly recently I noticed a rhythmic rattling coming from the car when idling in neutral- it would rattle for a few seconds, go away, and then rattle again. It has progressed to a rhythmic type rattling throughout all the gears when driving at this stage. It's not particularly noisy but noticeable- does anyone have an idea what it might be?

Finally, one of my head lights was badly condensated when I bought the car and it would seem that some of the stuff that the dealer had power washed the car with had got into the headlamp. It has never really completely cleared although has got a lot better- is there a way of fixing this or do I have to buy a new headlight? I have an MOT next month and know it'll probably be picked up on.

    Cheers all

    Thanks for reading.
