Business studies/economics/accounting are helpful but not necessary at all.

I didn't do accounting or economics for the leaving and they were my best subjects. I did business studies and the waffley management subjects were my worst.

I hadn't done any business subject in secondary school and I was perfectly fine. Obviously people who've done LC accounting and economics will know a lot more than you in 1st year, but you'll catch up very quick.
