    It does work but i wouldnt recommend using a Data transfer kit, caus if something goes wrong you lose the date on both HDD's. Use a USB key, its slower but its a lot safer.

    Having never had cause to use one,I'm not 100% sure but surely these cables were marketed for the purpose of transferring data from the old 360 to the newer Slim model. Your best bet would be to ask the ebay seller as I notice he is top-rated.

    Ive used it to transfer stuff without any problems. If you have a lot to transfer its easier and quicker than a USB flash drive.

    One thing to note, you must also transfer the licences for your purchases also. This is done digitally on Xbox.com:
