I think the daily mail had an article recently stating that drinking water was linked to cancer(seriously). Maybe they got the 2 mixed up???

Performance enhancing my a**e!!! Unfortunately that's just the sort of rubbish that could actually happen...

I'm a smoker and a golfer. Not, it must be made clear, a smokin' golfer...

If the advertising of sports drinks is to be believed, and they normally finish with a doctor's note explaining how they help improve performance, then surely they fall under the same umbrella as smoking?

Next point, if Darren or Thomas was to chew nicotine gum on the way around, would that also be performance enhancing?

I'd kind of presume that urine tests for nicotine would be out? If not, does this mean that Darren or Thomas would not just be stopped from smoking on the course, but would have to desist from any nicotine-based activity for up to a week before competing?

    A load of cobblers.

Well I know, as a smoker, if I don't smoke during a round I play pretty poor....

Because all I can think about is having a smoke...
