    There I said it.

Why do we want our team to play without any pride for 4 matches?

I think I would prefer if we never played and started working on why we cannot create a situation where our players can play to their potential together. Why bother going if we cannot do that?

Honestly, don't go unless you understand that that is what is expected.

There is a huge difference in playing poorly and playing without pride. I'm sure that if you had seen the players afterwards, getting iced, stitched, bandaged or hospitalised you wouldn't be so glib in your pathetic condemnation. They played badly, the wrong guys were on the field or out of position, they seem to have no plan, they look bewildered but they don't lack pride.

The frustration on the face of the players shows that pride is not the issue. That and the commitment in contact which is demonstrated by the injury count.

Then don't watch. Turn on X Factor instead. The rest of us are looking forward to watching our team play in the World Cup.

When a guy called Tin Foil Hat is telling you to get real I think you've got a big problem!

He didn't tell him to get real. He told him to watch X Factor instead (see Post 5).

    what a rediclous statement.

If anything there is more pride in holding your head high and continuing to bash away at it then to just give up and go home.

What about teams like saoma/tonga/fiji/usa/russia the list goes on. should they all just give up because they arnt good enough? no. they will continue to give their all for their team and their country. Just because ireland arnt playing well dosnt mean the players arnt commited and wanting to make their country proud.

A very big point here is that NOONE wants Ireland to play better and win more then the players to themselves.
