How to get ITBand sorted for good

Ive been running 4-5 years now. Nothing crazy but i used to do 3-4 runs a week each being around 7-10 km.

In the last 6 months I increased my distance a bit and both IT Bands have started causing me a lot of pain.

I went to my physio who gave me a number of sessions of dry needling, deep tissue massage and foam roller excercises which i do many times a week.

Even now though, after a few weeks of rest from running, i go back to do 2-3 km and my ITBand goes bezerk again. I go back to the physio, get needled, massaged, rest for 2-3 weeks, go running and same issue. wash rince repeat.

Physio says its just a case of more massage, needling and general attention to the ITBand.

From experienced runners here, Is it just a case that i have to deal with it and cut out most of my running, or have you found anythining else that has helped?
