Apple pc problem

This iMac developed a fault some time ago and will now only boot in Safe Mode. The first sign of the fault was a faint pattern that appeared on certain areas of the screen. It could possibly be a graphic chip fault, Any suggestions would help

likely your imac is a white one. with ati radeon x1600. or a tilt and swivel imac. which is it? it is the gpu either way if it is and not much you can do.
