I studied it last year!it's brilliant even if you think that your sure of what you want to do!!I loved English in secondary school and was convinced that I would take it to degree level but after doing it as one of my options in first year I absolutely hated it!I'm glad I did the flex options because it gave me an out!!if it wasn't for the flexi options I know that I would of been stuck doing a degree that I hated! Flexi options meant I could drop English after first year and choose 2 out of my other 3:D the only bad thing I could say about it is that you have to pass all FOUR subjects to get into second year....but that's not too hard with a little bit of work:D

That all sounds positive, i dont understand what you mean about passing all 4 subjects to get into 2 nd year. Would you not have to do that anyway ? approx how many hours did you attend college for ? Did you get a student card and were you allowed to use all the facilities, mardyke arena etc . |Sorry for all questions !

Sorry I just meant that it's unfortunate that you have to pass all 4 even though you won't be keeping on two out of that 4:)I had 18-19 that would be including tutorials!it varies on which subject you pick!with the subjects I picked I had a day off on Friday in the second term(but I think thats unusual for first year:))Ya you will get a student card on orientation day!they will take your picture and you will have it within 15 minutes!ya all the facilities are free to use once your a student!the mardyke is free as the cost in covered in the capitation fee that all students are required to pay when registering!there are a few restaurants around campus aswell where students can eat for very reasonable prices:)lol I don't mind that's what this place is for.if you have anymore questions just ask away and il try and answer them as best as I can:D

Another few questions about flexi options.
Forms had to be in by today to apply for it . Admissions office said we may not hear back for 4 weeks ??? so what happens til then.. do you miss 4 weeks of college ? can you attend lectures and hope you ve got your place ? You wont have paid so you have no student card ?

Have you not got the pack to register as a first year or did you enter the course through another route?im not sure why you cant register with everyone else?are you transferring in from another course or something?:/ any case you can attend the lectures!modules don't have to officially registered until late October!you can attend different lectures see what subjects you like and you dont like!the student card is used to get into the library etc but you can always borrow someone elses!lectures don't start till the 19th so if they meant 4 weeks from Today then you prob would have everything sorted the week after college starts anyway!!it probably just means you have to register a little later than everyone else!
