We'll never forget that legendary try in Croker but where has that marauding Heaslip gone to?

It's as if he's neutered and never even gets the opportunity to run with ball in hand. Has Sean O'brien's emergence intimidated Jaimie..?

Ireland and Leinster just have more great ball carriers now so its not a case of heaslip making the majority of the big runs anymore.

As a sidenote Ireland should vary it more from just hitting O'Brien when he plays.

So yeah nothing wrong with Heaslip as those above said unless his injury today was more serious than it looked :(

Theres a lot more to his game than just rampaging runs too.

He hasn't been a patch on the Heaslip of 2 years ago with ball in hand...

it was odd today the medical team looked like they gave him smelling salts , he shook his head a few times and went off the field a few minutes later, if he took such a big knock why did they not take him off in the first place instead of giving him salts

Probably games starting to pile up, he's clearly not as dynamic as he once was.

He's doing a lot more of the grunt work than the eye catching stuff that SOB is doing now. For me he's our most adept player at forcing turnovers (overtaking D'arcy and BOD) and one of our most reliable players. Against France last week he turned over possession 3 times. SOB's bombastic runs will always stand out but an awful lot of what that occurs in the rucks and breakdown goes unnoticed. His work at recycling and stealing ball is a key reason why SOB has shone.
