Buying parts.. A little help needed

Had a guy look at my car, he said I need a new thermostat, timing belt and water pump. Ok so I've found these all online. My problem is there's an option to buy a timing belt kit or just the timing belt. Which should I get? i know this is mad as you can't see the car but is there a big difference?
